Welcome

Welcome to the website of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. We are a volunteer organization committed to transforming the lives of youth and improving our communities through a unified mission. We are meeting a crucial need by impacting under-served youth in our communities by Mentoring the 100 Way Across through role models who embody our motto: “What They See Is What They’ll Be.”

  • One Mission – Solidify our common purpose and programs
  • One Cause – Deepen the impact of what we do
  • One Network: Broaden our reach to serve more

100 Black Men of America, Inc. has adopted an aggressive plan that will focus on areas deemed critical to our community.

Mentoring is the cornerstone of what the organization brings to the community by guiding youth in life experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education, and the pursuit of positive life-long goals.

Health & Wellness is a vital component of a thriving community. The “100” is concerned about the well being of the whole community and the whole person: physical, emotional/psychological, and spiritual.

The 100 Black Men’s Project 21st Century Excellence Scholarship was established to encourage students with marginal academic records to refine and develop their academic potential to their highest possible level of achievement.

Our program initiatives promote economic self-sufficiency through financial literacy, family wealth building and entrepreneurship.

Leadership Development and the cultivation of our next generation of leaders is a worthwhile investment. 100 Black Men of America continues to prepare youth and young adults who can lead the way and become the next generation of global leaders.

About Us

About the 100 Black Men of Alton / Madison County

In 1986 the Alton Chapter was incorporated under the laws of the state of Illinois and in 1988 became a tax exempt non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code. The 100 Black Men of Alton thus became the tenth chapter to be officially recognized by the national at an executive meeting held at the National Convention in Indianapolis in June of 1989. This enabled the Alton Chapter to articulate its concepts and contributions on a national level.
